Four generations of the Johnson family have dedicated over four decades of service to ensure that Wychbury provides exceptional residential care for individuals aged 65 and over, fostering a sense of belonging and comfort in a homely environment.
Our home features 40 beautifully appointed bedrooms, each designed to offer privacy and relaxation. Residents can enjoy the freedom to personalize their spaces while benefiting from the care and attention of our dedicated team.
At Wychbury, life is about more than care – it’s about living well. Our residents and their families are enchanted by our beautiful landscaped gardens, with a stunning pond and water feature filled with koi carp that have been with us for over 25 years.
For relaxation and entertainment, Wychbury Residential Home offers three inviting lounges to suit every preference. Residents can unwind in one of our two spacious quiet lounges or join the lively atmosphere in our large sun lounge and conservatory, perfect for those who enjoy being at the heart of the action. Meals are served in our gorgeous dining room, where residents savor delicious, nutritious dishes prepared in our 5-star rated kitchen, tailored to individual tastes. Our fully equipped hair salon provides the perfect space for pampering, while our newly refurbished cinema room offers a private and comfortable setting for residents to enjoy their favorite films.

- Salon
Our on-site salon welcomes a professional hairdresser every week, providing a popular and much-loved service for our residents. If you prefer, arrangements can also be made for your personal hairdresser to visit and use our salon facilities.
- Outings
We take pride in offering regular outings for our residents using our minibus. From pub lunches and visits to safari parks to theatre trips, or a relaxing coffee at a local garden centre, we aim to provide something enjoyable for everyone.
- Entertainment

Our care home is nestled within beautifully landscaped gardens that provide a peaceful retreat for residents and their families. The grounds feature:

- The paddock at the bottom is home to lovely ponies, year-round.
Our Building
The building as you see it now, was originally built as two 19th-century villas. One half of these was acquired by the Johnson family in 1983 and has since been thoughtfully expanded to include both villas as well as an extension to one side; and the adjoining Coach House, which caters to our more independently mobile residents. Carefully renovated over the years, Wychbury has been transformed into a warm, inviting space that meets the highest standards of safety and comfort while preserving its historic character.
